...And we're just getting started.

So many huge things going on in the Morehouse Household.  Lots of changes, even more drama, but in the end it will all work out the way it supposed to...right?

Who would have ever thunk that in 6 short months my husband could turn a Future Foam Factory into the most insanely awesome concert hall(s) around?  The project is nearing completion and I can't even explain how proud I am, I just hope these kids get their fathers workaholic syndrome.  I wish I could post pictures, but they don't even do it justice.  On that note, the hard work has just begun, business licensing, meetings, and lots and lots of paperwork have been filling up our schedules.  The poor kids are bearing through and are surprisingly well behaved when forced to ride along as Mom drives all over town getting things completed.

A few weeks ago Ama came to stay with Uncle Ben so we wore her out with movies, and the zoo.  One night we all went to Red Lobster where Ama ordered an entire lobster, the kids and I were looking at the lobsters in the tank when they came to fetch it.  Both of them were pretty freaked and refused to pet the creature.  After we all settled down and started eating they brought out the cooked lobster, I wish I had a camera, or better yet a video camera.  John stopped eating mid bite and stared at it, he wouldn't stop staring at it for a good 10 minutes straight, and was even more confused when Ama started tearing it apart and eating it.  Definitely traumatized him.

In other excitement we braved the Farmer's market the other Saturday where Lillian and John proceeded to eat 2 entire pints of fresh raspberries, tons of cherries, and a few sweet peas.

And during the week we went up to play in blow up pools and slip n' slides at Michelle's which the kids loved.  Summer is definitely bearable when you have a friend with a yard and a hose!

Aside from all that it's just going to be two solid months of heavy workload in anticipation of an eventual payoff.  On the lighter side of things, Chris and Tracy are bringing the twins up to visit next weekend, which John and Lillian will love, and hopefully JB & Lisa will be up after that.  At the beginning of September PwoPwo and Granddad will be coming up, and then Lillian starts preschool!  I know I'm as shocked as you, but really the girl craves interaction with other children, and it's only MWF 8:30 - 12:00.  As for now, it is time to make Shrek shirts.

Has it really been almost 2 months?

It's embarrassing that my supposed weekly updates have now spread out as far as they have.  Regardless, here come the cuties.

She loves GiGi's ears.

Who really sleeps like this?  John is so cool.

Cousin Marcus got married which brought all the relatives in town for a few days.  John thought he was the coolest thing to hit Temple Square since the Mormons.

 More zoo fun.

John thinking he's cool walking down the stairs.

Doing the Dinosaur

Cupcake eating machine.

The other day I put John down for a nap in just a diaper.  He took it off, peep all over the bed, then stood up and peed all over the floor, and topped it off with a nice turd.  Lesson learned, John must always have some sort of pants on over his diaper at all times.  I took a picture that I was going to post for Matthew, but I decided against it.

About a week a 1/2 ago we made a trek to Texas for Benna's wedding.  The trip was wayyy too short, but we still had a good time.

John fell asleep imediately on the flight down, he picked that up from his father, and Lillian fought it, but eventually failed.

Benna's wedding was beautiful, I had a nice time just hanging out with her and the Gaines' for a day before the festivities, and my parents brought the kids out for the wedding.

Lillian was a wonderful Flower Girl, despite her running down the aisle instead of walking, and me having to shush her during the ceremony when one of the other flower girls dumped her remaining petals and Lillian stood up and pointed yelling, "You pick that up RIGHT NOW!"

The remainder of the trip was spent playing in the pool.  At first they were both cats and had meltdowns when we forced them into the water, but PwoPwo worked some magic and in no time Lillian was "swimming like a mermaid"  and John got comfortable enough to stand on the second step down.

I did not tell her to pose like this.  She did it on her own accord.

Sleeping with her sunglasses on, we couldn't get her to take them off.

I know this entry is messy and discombobulated, so I apologize, it took me 2 days to write it, and it's still a mess.  Maybe next time will be neater.

3 Years Later

I can't believe that Lillian is 3 years old.  Where does the time go?  Monday John and Lillian had their check ups, 15months and 3years.  All is well, despite John having second child syndrome, I really can't tell you how many words he knows.  I guess first things first, Lillian's birthday was last Saturday, we woke up and opened presents, she got a fish, who dad named Nemo, despite the fact that it's silver, blue, and maroon.  Two walking talking dinosaurs, a game from pwopwo that has to do with animals and the noises they make, and princess clothes.  Then we all packed up and went to the zoo.

Poor John only got a 30 minute nap, so he was a bit groggy.

Posing.

Checking out the adorable baby Elephant.

Riding the carousel.

Lillian helping Dad at work, by hanging out in the A/C vents?  The project is coming along so far so good, I don't want to jinx us, but I also know the closer we get to being done the more work that we have piling up to do... it will be an interesting couple of months.
